ALEKSANDRA BOCIAN
Aleksandra Bocian (b. 1997) is an accomplished Polish flutist with a passion for classical music. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy from the Hochschule Luzern, a Master of Arts in Music from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and a Bachelor of Arts from The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
Aleksandra has earned recognition through numerous national and international music competitions and festivals. She performs actively as a soloist, having collaborated with esteemed ensembles such as the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Bialystok. Additionally, she is a dedicated chamber musician, performing as part of the Alma Duo, and has gained valuable experience in orchestral settings, including performances with the Oberrheinisches Orchester Lörrach.
Currently, Aleksandra collaborates with the Musikschule Binningen-Bottmingen and the Musikschule Basel, where she works as a substitute flute teacher. She joined the ICMS teaching team in 2022, bringing her dedication and expertise to her students.
In her teaching, Aleksandra focuses on fostering a holistic musical development by balancing technical precision, musical expression, rhythmic accuracy, and—most importantly—the joy of playing. Thanks to her advanced piano skills, she is happy to accompany her students during flute lessons, enriching their musical experience. Her lessons are tailored to each student’s needs.
