DAILA DAMBRAUSKA
Daila Dambrauska studied violin and string quartet at the Music Academy of Latvia with Valdis Zarinš and Agne Stepina-Sprudža. During her studies she began to study the interpretation of early music and Baroque violin with Lasma Meldere and played in various Baroque ensembles in Latvia. In addition, Daila taught violin at the Dobele Music School.
Due to an ever-increasing interest in Baroque music, she decided to come to Basel to study Baroque violin with Chiara Banchini at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Daila lives in Basel, where she is a member of the Barockorchester Capriccio Basel in addition to playing with La Cetra Barockorchester and the Kesselberg Ensemble.
